According to the US Census Bureau, there are 97.2 males for every 100 female in the USA.
In general Western states have the highest male to female ratios, while states in the Mid Atlantic and Deep South have more women than men. 39 states have more females than males, while 10 have more males. California is the only state with exactly one male for every female. Illinois exactly matches the national average with 97.2 males for every 100 female.
There are only 89.7 males for every 100 females in the District of Columbia this is far lower than any state. Rhode Island and Maryland both have 93.8 men for every 100 women, the fewest of any states.
At the other extreme, Alaska has 108 males for every female, the most of any state. Nevada comes in second with 103.8 males for every female.

In the US approximately, 105 boys are born for every girl. However, at any given age more males die then females. There are more males than females in every age group up until 40. After that age females outnumber men. There are only 38 men older than 90 for every 100 females.

Worldwide there are approximately 101.4 males for every 100 females. 106.4 males are born for every female. There more males than females in every five year age bracket until 40-45 years of age. Every age group from 45-50 and older has more females than males.

The oil producing countries of the Persian Gulf have the highest male to female ratios in the world, due to the high number of male immigrants. There are 187 males for every 100 females in Qatar
At the other extreme several former Soviet countries have the lowest male to female ratios in the world, due to a large number of men who have sought work in other countries. Estonia has 84 males for every female, while Russia has only 86.
The two most populous countries on earth have very high male to female ratios as a result of societal preferences for sons over daughters. In both countries many female fetuses are aborted. In addition young females have higher mortality rates in families that favor sons over daughters. In both countries there are 106 males for every female.

Most of our food in U.S. has high level homone growth which explain why there are more males born than females. Government have passed laws that were more favorable for females in term of financial economic and rights of which that is equal to male. "Why?" to atract females from other countries to achieve an equalibrium of gender population diffences. Government being taken censuses for this purpose, is to make plans to achieve equalibrium, or to apeace the masses. Human playing God find themselves justified, but do they understood the dynamic of change, cause and effect, and the dynamic of consquences. Clearly not, there were to many variable not taken into account, thus creating a utra-un-real reality that have created many unwanted side-effect. The more you fixed it, the more messes you creat. Let God do his or her job and have faith.

I think you are missing some decimal points somewhere. To say there are 105 boys born to every one girl is wacky. Now I question the Nevada stat of 103 males per female. Both of those sound way off.

Well in Chicago, Illinois, there are plenty of lonely and single males there. Trust me there are tons of them. There is a shortage of women here.
As I've gotten older I've noticed the imbalance. It seemed like from early chilhood all the way up through high school that there was way more boys than girls. Just count the number of males and females in your school yearbooks.
"106.4 males are born for every female." That would imply a ratio of 106.4 : 1... long odds if you're a guy!

The author screwed up alot of stuff in the article. In every case that it says "for each female" it is actually "for each 100 females" Below the horizontal bar graph it says "The left side shows the number of males on the right side, while the right side shows the number of females"...how many right sides do you see there?
I noticed he mentioned the fact that countries that prefer males abort their females, also the one who live have a higher mortality rate. That is really EVIL. One day those countries will be crying for more females in order to survive.
